HUBUNGAN GENETIK DAN USIA DENGAN PENYAKIT HIPERTENSI DI PUSKESMAS PASAR MINGGU JAKARTA SELATAN
Keywords:
Genetics, Age, HypertensionAbstract
This study investigates the relationship between genetic factors and age with hypertension incidence in a Jakarta healthcare facility in 2024. Employing a crosssectional design, the research involved 75 respondents, predominantly aged 45-70 years. Data were collected through medical records and structured questionnaires, analyzed using Chi-Square tests. Results indicate an exceptionally high prevalence of hypertension (96%), with 88% of respondents exhibiting related genetic factors. Analysis revealed significant associations between genetic factors and hypertension (p = 0.001), and between genetics and age (p = 0.040); however, the direct agehypertension relationship was not statistically significant (p = 0.109). These findings underscore the crucial role of genetic factors in hypertension and their interaction with age, highlighting the necessity for a holistic approach in disease management. The study recommends genetic screening and regular blood pressure monitoring, particularly for individuals with a family history of hypertension. Further research with larger sample sizes is necessary to deepen understanding of the genetic-age interaction mechanisms in hypertension development, and to develop more personalized and effective prevention and treatment strategies.
